National Power and Plug Standards

Hey, everybody.

As you know, I do trading business for electrical appliances. The most important thing for the export of electrical appliances is the problem of voltage and plugs. If these two problems happen, not only will they not be used when they arrive in the importing country, but they may also bring about safety problems, it is worth every exporter to know the market carefully and confirm the details before placing an order.
I’m going to talk to you now and hopefully bring you some useful information.

  • Voltage profiles in different countries of the world

At present, there are two types of voltage used for indoor electricity in the world, which are AC 100V-130V and AC 220-240V.

100V, 110 ~ 130V are classified as low voltage, such as in the United States, and Japan, and the ship’s voltage, the focus is on safety.
220-240V is called High Voltage, which includes the Chinese 220U and British 230V and most European countries, focusing on energy efficiency. The use of 220 ~ 230V voltage countries, there are also the use of 110 ~ 130V voltage, such as Sweden, Russia.

1. 100VAC: Japan, South Korea 2 countries;
2. 110 ~ 130VAV: China, Taiwan, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Cuba, Lebanon and other 30 countries;
3. 220-230VAV: about 120 countries in China, Hong Kong (200V) , UK, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, India, Singapore, Thailand, Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Austria, Philippines, Norway;

  • Worldwide standards for power plugs
